The congress will take place at the
School of Engineering of Gipuzkoa, one of the venues of the University
of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), located
in the heart of Donostia–San Sebastián. This is a modern academic center
with a strong track record in engineering education, closely linked to
the industrial and technological ecosystem of the Basque Country. Since
its inception, the School has been a driving force of innovation and
development, training generations of highly qualified professionals
committed to social progress.
The School is part of a public university that is much more than an
academic institution: the UPV/EHU is the leading hub of knowledge
production and transfer in the Basque Country, and one of the most
prominent universities in Southern Europe. With over 50,000 students,
nearly 5,000 researchers, and a broad academic and scientific offering,
the University of the Basque Country stands as a space of excellence,
inclusion, and social commitment. Its motto, “eman ta zabal zazu” (“Give
it and spread it”), reflects its mission as a public service, its deep
roots in Basque culture, and its openness to the world.
UPV/EHU is also internationally recognized: it is part of the Euskampus
Campus of International Excellence, collaborates with leading research
centers, and is a member of global academic networks. Its commitment to
cutting-edge research, sustainability, equality, and educational
innovation has made it a benchmark among European universities.
Hosting this congress at the School of Engineering of Gipuzkoa, within
the framework of UPV/EHU, means doing so in an environment that breathes
science, technology, and critical thinking; in an institution where the
future is built on strong foundations and with a global vision. It is
undoubtedly the ideal setting for dialogue between knowledge and
society, between university and industry, between tradition and
innovation.
